The Kennedy Center (Comedy)
IDENTITY, PRINT, DIGITAL, ILLUSTRATION
From stand-up to improv to sketch comedy, a range of humor featuring both emerging and established comedians perform at The Kennedy Center. To market the Comedy genre, the programming team wanted to create a fresh look distinct from other classical genres at the Center. The new direction pulled inspiration from vintage JFK political posters: desaturated red, white, and blues; aged textures; stars, sunbursts, angles, and buttons. For the special annual comedy showcase RIOT! Funny Women Stand-Up, I created a custom illustration and paired it with handwritten elements that felt loud, bold, and raw.
